Dear All,

I face a question about welding(our weld specialist is in vacation), in one vessel(2.25Cr1Mo)we have some coupling for thermo wells, the thermo wells material is Incoloy800, I'm not sure if the welding between 2.25Cr1Mo(SA182-F22) and Incoloy 800 is possible or some special requirements should be provided. Please let me know your opinion

Thanks in advance

Yes, it is possible. You would need to use an Inco (Ni base) filler metal.Local preheat requirements would apply for the Cr-Mo base metal.
