Hi all,
I work in automation and recently we got a question from production, it looked really silly until we started to know the problem. It started like a repeatability fault in the automatic welder machine. Now we know that the problem starts with brand new or machined welding discs. Each set last for about 120 welds, but always no matter the diameter the first welds (around 20) go wrong having to play with current/speed relations to get it to weld, around the 21th weld it settles around the parameters of the previous disc sets.
The welding machine data are as follow.
manufacturer -Vai Clesim
type -mashes lap seam type
-direct current welding 6 pulses
capacity -with 1880 mm
- thickness up to 2mm
weld wheel -copper alloy class III
-diameter 305mm
-thickness 16mm
steel type -CQ, ES, SES, HES, HSLA, Phosphored steel, BH, annealled or full hard.
Any ideas why it behaves like that? thanks
