Dir sir;

I am a mechanical engineer,I work on a thermal power project.I assure the installation of mechanical equipment for an absorber. more I do the welding monitoring.I have a problem with The absorber shell deformation (tank with thickness=6mm).My question is:
there is a procedure or code for welding the tank without deform the metal shells if the thickness=6mm<10mm ? My tank have eight shell for each level(10 level),i think is better for exemple to weld the first and the fifth horizontal joint then the second and fourth...
thank you in advance

In fusion welding of thin wall vessels, some deformation is inevitable. Multi-pass welding with a low heat input process like pulsed GTAW, short circuiting transfer GMAW or similar processes will mitigate deformation.
