Welding Ti to Ti Grade 1, ASME SB 265

1/4 inch thick Ti plate, seal welding to Explosion bonded Ti on SA 516-70N plates 1-1/2" to 3-1/2" thick .Any worries of delamination during the welding, proposing SMAW process?

Also required to Cold form 1/4inch Ti plate to form a liner on the ID of custom nozzle covers for pressure vessels, then machining to 3/16 thickness, any advice or experience would be well appreciated...

Thanx..

I would not recommend SMAW, you must use GTAW to avoid any contamination of the weld puddle with air (oxygen).
