We are working with a sign company and need to weld sheets of alloy C22000 alloy to a bronze sculpture, C87300 alloy (Everdur). We are using tig but it doesn't seem to melt the metal very well at all. Any suggestions on a better way to weld this metal?

Thank you.
David

The C22000 has a large amount of Zn, making it hard to weld without porosities.
It should be doable (I've got experience with a similar alloy), using a pulsed GMAW process and careful selection of parameters and filler metal.

Google the Handy & Harmon brazing guide. It's pretty much my go-to for brazing questions.
