Just wondering if anyone has had experience in model validation between using OLGA and Prosper. I am currently developing a well model in OLGA and would appreciate any tips!

replying to my own post, but FYI it seems that there are some differences between the black oil model used by Prosper and the compositional model used in PVTSim for Olga, which leads to some differences.

Did you check that you were using the same flow correlation in PG as in OLGA?

Remember that you can also define black oil models in OLGA version 5.

Remember that if you have correctly defined your compositional data, the fluid transport properties should match the black oil props.

Look at the head (density) losses each model, and the frictional losses, this will give you a better idea of where the differences are in the results.

Unfortunately we do not have access to the black oil module in Olga v5.
... we are still working on it, and looking at the root cause of the discrepancies (as you said) ... it is hard as everyone goes on summer holidays!

Will keep you informed how we go.
