Well Pump Sizing

I've sized pumps in the past, but my parents are building a new house with well and I'd like to help them size the most efficient pump. Does anyone have any resources on sizing a well pump? I know you are supposed to size for peak demand,but I'm not sure how to calculate the peak demand.
