Hello,

Can anyone inform about the typical requirements when ordering a new choke valve? If you get offers from Cameron Willis M4 and Quam Valvole CMA-130, which one would you go for? Any experience with such models and manufacturers?

Thanks

Well I've heard of Cameron before....

Just go through the spec and data sheet and see which one comes out with everything ticked and then look at cost, schedule, spares, technical support in your country.

Just, I would like to know the industry's preferred choke valve for controlling the down hole pressure. And also in reliability and easy maintenance.

Thanks

Powerchoke or T3 Choke is used a lot on drilling manifolds. 2-way gates mean double lifetime as you can just take it out, rotate it 180 degrees, and back in.
Easy to maintain and a lot of spares. I assume they have expensive parts but can't say for sure.
