I spoke with my SW rep and he told me this is a bug but he didn't have any real workaround so I thought I would post this here.

Here is the problem.

I make a drawing of a weldment, or anything for that matter, that has more then 1 sheet. I draft it and print it and everything looks fine. I send it to the print room to print and make copies and now my balloons and rev table is gone. The print room only has the viewer.

It's still in the drawing but it doesn't show up when we use the viewer.

I tried saving the drawing as an e-file but it still had the same problem.

I'm thinking of trying to get our reseller to give us a seat of SW to use in the print room until the problem is resolved but if they don't go for that I will need to find something else to do.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Version 2005

I just installed SP 0.1 which is when the problem started.

What are the specs on the print room computer?
Which viewer are they using?

[cheers]

I don't know the specs on the print room computer but I don't think it matters.

I tried to look at the draft files on my own machine and I have the same problem of no balloons or tables.

The viewer we are using is the 2005 version. All the viewers were updated when we installed SW2005.

Your first post stated:-

Your last post states;

So, which is it? Does it print OK from your machine or not? [bugeyed]
When you look at the draft files on your machine, are you using the viwer or SW05?

[cheers]

The draft looks fine when I print from within SW.

However, when I look at the draft file thru the viewer then the things are missing. This also happens when I create an e-drawing and view it that way.

Have you tried viewing & printing via the eDrawing module?
If that works, dump the viewer!

[cheers]

Check your system options and see if any check boxes have changed to print/not print any objects on a dwg.

This is a bug in SW (not the viewer) and I think most of this is fixed in SP1.0. But if you need to print it out now. Install Edrawings viewer onto that machine and use that viewer to open your drawing files and print it out.

Edrawings 04 or higher will open native SW files.
