Is wet-setting anchor bolts acceptable?

And if such anchor bolts cause a stem wall to crack, what is the width at which epoxy injection is recommended?

I found on the web that ACI 224R-90 says .012" for soil exposure, would that be the width I should look for?

Limiting crack width uses to be established depending upon the use. I understand this is a limitation aimed mainly to meaningful parts such as beams, walls, mats or slabs, and NOT to crack happening as consequence of details, the consequences of which must be solved in the same intricacies of the detail itself.

This said, setting connections of whatever the kind by concreting or adding mortars in holes made in old work is of course permissible, as long you care for any code obligation and good constructive practice. Hence if whilst making a hole some cracks are likely to appear either you have planned that the cracks are either negligible or able to be remedied, or you change the detail to another without such problems. Of course the inset will have to care for adhesion, interlock, strength and so on.
