WF 4 and Excel

I have a WF 4 file that is supposed to be linked to an Excel spreadsheet. The user provides inputs to Excel, calculations are performed, the results should drive parameters in the CAD file, Pro/E should post back results of a mass calculation, and finally a few more calculations are done and a report printed. For some reason, the files are no longer passing information back and forth. When I open the CAD file and look at the relations I get 'LOST SYMBOL' errors (see attached screenshot). How do I re-establish the link between the CAD file and the Excel sheet? I have searched through the FAQ section and past threads and found some interesting information, but not quite what I need.

To the best of my knowledge JLINK was not used.

What version of Excel are you using and what version was the spreadsheet written in?

I am using Excel 2007 and I am 90% sure the original file was written in the same.

Update:
Someone found an earlier version of the part and/or spreadsheet and the links seem to be working. I'm told it was done with External Analysis -> Excel Analysis. It looks like I can reassociate links through that dialog if it happens again.
