WFH/Remote Work Policies

What are your firm's work-from-home/hybrid work policies?

1. How many days are you in-office vs WFH? Do you have core work hours within those WFH days say (9-4 or 9.30 - 4.30 etc.)?
2. How many weeks in a year is a person allowed to WFH? Is there a limit on the maximum number of consecutive weeks you can WFH?
3. For firms with international employees on staff, is there a policy of allowing vacation plus a certain number of weeks to work remotely? For example, 2-3 weeks vacation plus 4-5 weeks working remotely from a foreign country? Do you require that staff work within a certain window of time overlapping the US office working hours?

Thanks for your feedback.

1. For most employees a hybrid policy is offered - 3 days in office, 2 days WFH. Almost all employees have chosen the hybrid model. "Unofficial" core hours are 9-3 although not really enforced. Exceptions are occasionally made for high-performing employees. There are a handful of employees that work from home permanently.
2. There is no limit.
3. Not applicable as we have no international employees.

1. We offer 4 days at home and 1 day in office. My previous 2 firms were fully remote. Not really on the hours though you must be available for contact during business hours(up to say 3 PM).
2. No limit
3. Not applicable

These policies are very individual. I can see getting our opinions, but to my mind it makes more sense to get your local opinions and practices.

Personally I love working from home, saving an hour each way commuting.

But with my company hat on, I feel much less focused on being part of the company when I'm in my basement.

I reckon that they'll either get rid of WFH ('cept for the bosses, of course) or they discount your salary for WFH hours (say pay you 90% ... I mean, you're saving those 2 hours commuting ...)

I've been working from home for the last 3 years; I don't have an office to go to. I have everything I need. Cell phone, computer and software, texts, scanner, and calculator. I'm available almost 24/7.

1. Loosely enforced 2 days a week in office
2. No limit
3. International exchanges are pretty here and there, don't really have a formal procedure
