Well, according to
laboratory Dewar flasks are in the neighborhood of 10[sup]-5[/sup]torr

I suspect that a run-of-the-mill Thermos for keeping your soup hot wouldn't bother to have such a good vacuum - a diffusion pump is needed to get down that low.

A decent mechanical vacuum pump could probably pull something like 10[sup]-3[/sup]torr. I'd imagine a Thermos is in that range.

From Google:

maximum pressure of a thermos bottle lining: 0.001 torr
typical: 10[sup]-6[/sup] torr.
