What are the local jurisdiction requirements in Alberta, Canada ? 2

Dear all,

We will have vessels built to ASME Section VIII, Div 2 code for a plant in Alberta, Canada. The vendor will be from overseas.

What will be the specific requirements from the Alberta local jurisdiction (ABSA) that the vendor shall follow ? Thanks for your help.

The manufacture will need the appropriate ASME U-stamp.

I'd suggest you formulate a plan an contact ABSA to discuss the matter. They're open to answering questions.

Alberta limits the P.Eng. stamping (see PESR 1(2) copied below) more than the Division 2 wording. With an overseas vendor you need to watch for this if the design report or UDS need stamping.
