Hi,
Can anyone tell me what Building Code Is Used In New York City?? Another forum indicated it was a modified version of the 2000 IBC. Is there an actual State Building Code, like there is in Massachusetts, or do they use parts of one code and reference you to a different code?

Where can I get this code?

Thanks

New York City has its own local codes, separate from New York State.

The second half of your question:

Go to: http//nyc.gov/citystore

then click on "municipal publications"
then click on "rules & regulations"

The City is considering the adoption of a modified version of IBC.

There is a NYS Building Code however, in NY City it only applies to NY State owned buildings.
