What compares to Pro/E's ISDX?

Hi,

I am learning V5 after years on Pro/E. About 1 year ago I learned how to use Pro/E's new surfacing package "ISDX". I was amazed at how powerful it is. You can create any simple surface you want from 4 intersecting boundary curves, and you can specify tangency of the resultant surface along the boundary curves.

I can't find anything similar to this in V5. There are sweeps and blends, which are standard in any CAD I've used. What's the next step up? I've heard a bit about the freeform stuff but that honestly doesn't sound like what I'm looking for. Plus I was hoping to stay in the GSD package, not sure if I can get the other license.

You can impose tangency on the edges of a fill surface. It may or may not work the way you want, depending on the situation.

Join all adjacent surfaces to the area that you want to fill, select, the fill area, and then select the joined surface around the fill area.

Is that what you want?
