um, since when can videos on youtube be taken at face value? Even for a youtube video, this wasn't particularly convincing.
 
Even taking it at face value:

How much work was done bringing the outer magnets in? How much kinetic energy did the rotor gain? Is there any evidence to suggest that the second is greater than the first?

A ratchet is a well known method for converting linear moton to rotational.

I don’t expect to see them. Those guys are crooks not imbeciles.

It can operate on batteries too. There is more than enough room for them. Or it can be something else. The only think that it can not be is free energy motor.
