What factors affect the thermal performance of fiberglass reinforced plastic sheets? Which factor has most impact on the thermal performance? Thanks for any advice.

thermal performance such as thermal conductivity and thermal resistance, etc.

You don't need both thermal conductivity and thermal resistivity....they are the reciprocal of each other.

The thermal conductivity of a composite will be a function of the thermal conductivity of its constituent components, and the percentage of each in the composite.

If you ask a specific question you stand a better chance of getting a specific answer.

Hi Zoobie,

Thermal reistance R=L/(kA). Therefore, R and k are not a reciprocal of each other, right?

JMiller1357, you are right...and shame on me for not being more careful. What I was trying to get at was that for an object, if you know one than you know the other (assuming you already have L and A at your disposal).

I believe that this also depends on the resin that you will use to make the FRP object. I am not an expert, but as far as I know FRP mats or sheets as you call it are not used as is, they are "glued" with resins to given the object both chemical and structural resistance.
