Hi guys,
I'm fresh out of school and fresh at the job as well. I was just wondering if someone could give a general definition of what augered construction is? Or if you could point me to where I could read up or look that would be great. Thanks.

Are you refering to auger cast piles?

- EIT Geotechnical Engineer. I am here hoping to help, and learn a little along the way.

Two things come to mind, depending on what type of construction.

One is to auger a hole to place a foundation pier (for a structure).

Another is auger boring, sometimes known as 'trenchless construction'. That is where you auger a horizonal hole to install pipe, if you can't disturb the surface.

Thanks. I believe the 2nd scenario applies to me.
