We are likely several months away from releasing the next build of COMPRESS. I do not expect the new build until sometime in the third quarter of this year. Another build would follow by the end of the year to include the new 2007 Edition of the Code.

Our programmers are currently updating COMPRESS for compatibility with Microsoft Windows Vista. This required that a lot of our programmers' tools (compilers, etc) be upgraded as well. This has been a very long and painful undertaking. Some of the program language coding that was accepted in earlier compilers is now rejected by the newer compilers; this required that the statements be rewritten.

So, the biggest task or new feature for "build 6253" will be Windows Vista compatibility. Aside from that: there is always the bug list to work on, and development of additional features for the heat exchanger program always continues. But we always like to provide new features for the basic COMPRESS program also. We plan to release lifting/turning trunnions this year. We also need to incorporate the 2005 Edition of the NBC-Canada wind and seismic code.

I think you had mentioned at one time that codeware was looking at adding an elliptical manway option to Compress. Is that still in the plans for the next build?
