What is cold clipping process in titanium blade forging

This is probably more commonly known by the term cold trimming. Titanium blades are hot forged with flash, and one method for removing the flash is to transfer the part to a separate press. The hot part cools off during transport, which facilitates the trimming process, due to the easier initiation and propagation of the fracture process.
