I have searched the web looking for the UNS or ASTM equivilent of BS1490 LM24 & LM6 and can't seam to find an answer.

I think LM24 is the equivalent of UNS A03800 (A380.0-F) but the mechanical properties I find on LM24 do not seam to match A380.0-F on matweb.com.
And perhaps LM6 is equivalent to UNS A14130 (A413.0-F) but again I can't verify this.

Is there a direct comparison? If not what is the closest?

I have an aluminum finishing book (2001) with the same alloy crosslisted as nearest equivalents.
LM6 is roughly A413.0. LM6 is lower in Cu (0.1 vs. 1), has wider Si limits (10-13 vs. 11-13), lower Fe (0.6 vs. 1.3), higher Mn & Sn, lower Ni & Zn, plus Pb (0.1) and Ti (0.2).

LM24 is roughly A380.0. LM24 has slightly higher Mg limit (0.3 vs. 0.1), lower Sn (0.2 vs. 0.35), and the additional alloying elements Pb (0.3) and Ti (0.2).

A380.0 is higher in Cu, lower in Si and lower in Zn than A413.0. Also, about 6-8% stronger and more machinable than A413.0.

Mechanical properties for LM6 & LM24 are available in Smithells Metal Reference Book, Table 22.2, 7th Edn.
LM6, chill cast, is weaker but more ductile than A413.0 as listed by MatWeb:
75 MPa (0.2% proof stress), 215 MPa (UTS), 10% elongation, 60 Brinell hardness.
Properties for sand cast LM5 are worse (lower) in every category.

LM24 has data for both chill cast and die cast; the die cast is considerably stronger but less ductile (2 vs. 3% elongation). Die cast strengths are fairly close to those for A380.0 listed by MatWeb:
LM24, die cast:
150 MPa (0.2% proof stress), 320 MPa (UTS), 2% elongation, 85 Brinell hardness.
