What is the angle 'alpha' shown here?

As a point of interest, why is it not shown in all thread diagrams of BSPT Male Thread?

Thanks

A quick Google search reveals a taper of 3/4" per foot, or 1:16, which means the angle is 3.576 degrees.

Thanks xnuke.
I don't know what you searched for but my search wasn't quick and I didn't find either the angle or the slope (1:16).
Must be losing my grip [morning]
