To all,

I would like to know the detailed definition for bulk density which was applied in PE or PP pellet. Also, if the materials were ground, can I said that bulk density will be increased than before?

It is the mass of unpacked pellets that fill a certain volume. For example, take a 1 cubic foot box, put it on a scale, tare the mass to zero, fill the box with pellets, and read the lbs. That's the bulk density in lb/cu. ft.

Finer particles usually have a higer bulk density because they fill in more void space.

Good luck,

Definition is right, but generally grinding reduces the bulk density of plastics, especially PE & PP. THe particles are smaller, but they're no longer spherical (or there-abouts) so they don't pack together well.

"..grinding reduces the bulk density of plastics.."

So it's important to measure a representative sample of your product when checking a bulk density and use a container commensurate with the particle size of the material.
