Context:: Shell MESC

Understand that 77/312 is no longer valid and 77/300 is taken over 77/312.

Also understand that there are 77/300A and 77/300B also.

1) What are 77/300, 77/300A and 77/300B and how does this differ from 77/312.

2) Suppose one needs to supply Valve in N2 service and some valve in water Service to Shell projects, is TAT required and what is the justification for asking fugitive emission testing for the above service as a part of TAT (Should TAT approval not exclude fugitive emission test for valve in these innocuous services?)

Got some clarity. I was wrong to assume that 77/312 was withdrawn, it acutlly underwent another revision, now it addresses only performance fugitive emission test (Modifying ISO15848-2), while 77/300 addresses TAT approval.

Glad you figured it out. I was going to say 1%.

- Shell MESC SPE 77/300B: "VALVE QUALIFICATION RANGE", 72 pages (December 2008);;

- Shell MESC SPE 77/300: "PROCEDURE AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR TYPE ACCEPTANCE TESTING (TAT) OF INDUSTRIAL VALVES", 70 pages (December 2008);

- Shell MESC SPE 77/312: "FUGITIVE EMISSION PRODUCTION TESTING (AMENDMENTS/SUPPLEMENTS TO ISO 15848-2)" (June 2007), 13 pages (June 2007).
