What is the difference between a dry type XFMR form CORE vs SHELL ?

Would a shell type transformer be a single phase transformer, like in a switchyard? Aren't all other dry types on a common iron core ? This is a pick in the power software. What kind is this in the picture?

Shown is a core type transformer: the windings surround the core. As opposed to a shell type transformer where the core surrounds the windings.

There are many articles online describing the differences.
