when i check the Cause and Effect Diagram, sometimes the pump is tripped, sometimes the pump is inhibited. For example, the cause: oil separator ESD valve off open limit-----the effect:downstream charge pump is inhibited; the cause: HH pressure 3rd stage separator------the effect: downstream charge pump is tripped.
what is the difference? Thanks in advance.

Dunno, but to me "inhibit" means "prevent from starting" and "trip" means "stop if already operating and prevent from restarting until cleared".
