Hello,

I want to melt some phosphor bronze alloy and they requested H04 grade.

It is my first contact with this designation. Is it a heat treatment? If yes would you please recommend a place to find it?

Or does it mean cold work?

Thanks,

HErc

You are correct, H04 is a cold work designation (full hard).

Se ASTM B601 for additional information. You will probably have to find out what the requirements are for the "full hard" designation of the specific phosphor bronze alloy you are being asked to provide.
