What is the importance of bath heaters in crude oil farms? What is the difference between direct vs indirect bath heaters ? Can somebody please explain me the engg behind it.

Do you mean water bath heaters?

Don't know why they would be needed in crude unless the oil is high wax or high pour point.

WBH are cheap and simple and good at steady flow which doesn't change much.
