What is the metallurgy suitable for pipes carrying Aluminum Chloride?

If ambient temperature and anhydrous AlCl3 powder, then carbon steel is perfectly acceptable. If aqeous solution, then similar for HCl (Hastelloy B, non-metallic), which is what AlCl3 will form upon contact with H2O. High temperature anhydrous vapor, I have no idea.
 
Why does it have to be metal?

Many non-metal piping materials are very suitable and a lot more cost-effective than Hastelloys, high alloyed stainless steels, Titanium, etc.
