We are studying how long the o-ring should be kept with some required storage condition?

Does anyone have some experience with?

Hi Zen2000.

My experience is based on O-rings made from black NBR materials.

These compounds are sensitive to sunshine ( among others )which will reduce their flexibility ( cracks ).

Storage time for a couple of years are possible to my experience if they are kept in a dark area, but you'll see some of the compound elements migrating to the surface over time

Ambient temperatures (Europe) of 20-25 deg. Celcius are acceptable.

rgds.

O-rings for military and aerospace use are packed such that no light and air penetrate the o-ring. They have a 5 year shelf life and after 5 years it can be extended to 5 more years after they are tested and found to be in within specifications. You should buy from a respected supplier such as Parker Hannifin and ask them for shelf life and storage conditions.
