What naval steel should I use, ASTM A131 or ATM A36?

Hey there, I've seen that mechanical properties are similar for ASTM A131 Grade SC and ASTM A36. However, I've been reading that ASTM A131 is for naval structure but have no found any further explanation. Context: We want to cover the concrete with armour steel, it belongs to a water discharge conduit of a Dam (spillway) its contact is always with water and sediments (diameter up to 192mm) - flow 250 m3/s
