I am installing a pre filter system before a large capacity above ground diesel storage tank. 1/2 or 3/4 inch black iron piping will be used from filter system to day tank. Schedule 40 ok? or should i use thicker walled pipe.

Is this pipe going to be exposed to high pressure?

Low pressure electric pump with low GPM. I do not have the spec at the moment, but I am sure this is a low pressure electric transfer pump w/low GPM. I will double check on the max pressure.
Thanks

You should check the ASTM specs for piping for your specific application:

ASTM A-53B, A-52F, or A-106 specs could be applicable. Off the top of my head, A-106 is a seamless pipe which is used for high temperature high pressure applications, and may be overkill for you needs.
