Hello everybody,
I´m a designer of lamps and I´m considering using batteries in a certain model..
the thing is I know absolutely nothing about batteries and I would like to know your opnion on wether you think it will be worth investigating the possibility of using batteries.
As the lightsource I´m thinking of using 4 "p9" LED´s of 150 mA and 0,5W.
the lamp´s body would be a narrow tube shape with a diameter of more or less 10 mm and a wall thickness of 1 (or so) and about 200mm long so in theory I´d have about 10 cm3 to put a (rechargable) battery..
I do have a good budget so there´s no need for looking for the cheapest solution, more important is a good solution.
now I´d like to know what you people think..
what kind of baterie life could i expect (i understand this will be rough guesses)will it be 2 hours or could it be 100 hours or so,
this is a very important detail and will determine wether to go for this solution or change the principle of the lamp drastically.
In case of using batteries the lamp would more or less be an oversize flashlight on a stick..
does this sound do-able to you?
thanks a lot in advance
