I am currently pumping high fructose corn syrup through 4" schedule 80 pvc. This system has been in place for 4 years. Now all of the pvc joints are blowing resulting in catastrophe. I would like to hard pipe this and need to know if i can use galvanized or do I need to go with stainless? $$$ Is a huge factor as this is a 150 - 200 yard run.

Isn't there a FDA requirement for specific materials when it comes to food?

I am not familiar with fructose transport, but for glycerin, I believe we used 316SS.
