Hi
I am trying to find alternative seat material instead of PTFE for use in U-PVC compact ball valve.
I am working on Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE & TPV), but its not so good because have large compression
set and deflection.
Any suggestion for other seat material, preferably injectable and as cost effective as PTFE?
Thanks.

Hi

Not really sure your application, R&D and or marketing strategy.
Try page 10 as a good start for selecting Seat material alternative vs application.

If this is for low end application (water, non-toxic/flammable, etc.), PTFE is still the most cost effective solution.

I don't quite understand three combination: U-PVC (Plastic); (I assume) Floating Ball valve and Large compression. Its not add up.
Large compression while the seat being Seated (pushed by the Ball) or during the PTFE being molded as a Seat on the manufacturing line?
Good-luck with the research

Regards,
MR

All valves will last for years, except the ones that were poorly manufactured; are still wrongly operated and or were wrongly selected
