What's the standard that specifies the size of center marks and when they should be added to holes?

[xpost from ASME standards forum because I know this one has a lot of smart people that frequent it] What's the standard that specifies the size of center marks and when they should be added to holes on a drawing? Almost every ASME Y drawing with holes has center marks that have a uniform shape, but where is this actually specified, and that we should put them at the center of holes (as opposed to putting nothing, or show two crossing centerlines)?

ASME Y14.2 (not Y14.24) mentions that center lines are used as center points in paragraph 4.7. In ASME Y14.5, these same objects are called small cross when showing dimensioning a large radius. But I've found nothing in the ASME standard that goes into more detail than that.
