When do Duct Detectors require that a RTS? (Remote Test Switch) NFPA 72 (2002) 72-43 5.14.5.8 Please let me know if you think my interpretation is correct on this matter. The way I read this I understand that when the Duct Detectors that are installed cannot be seen easily they are either required to have their own point or zone on the panel so you know exactly which detector activated or they need to have a RTS. On zoned systems where you have more than one Duct Detector on a zone and the duct detectors are not accessable they need an RTS. Is this correct?

Rather than a RTS I should have listed a Remote indicator switch.
