When to include exterior dry sidewall sprinklers in calculations with interior sprinklers?

My question is whether dry sidewall sprinklers protecting an exterior projection are required to be included in the hydraulic calculations with the buildings interior over head sprinklers? Would the exterior wall have to have a fire-resistance rating equal to the water supply duration per NFPA 13, Table 19.3.3.1.2 (2019)? Or could you utilize the provisions from NFPA 13, 19.2.2 (2019) Adjacent Hazards or Design Methods if there is an elevation difference from the interior building to the exterior canopy that exceeds 2'-0" and the exterior wall acts as a partition? The exterior wall will have 5/8" Gyp. Board, Steel Girders, Batt Insulation, and Metal Sheeting. I would like to know if I can treat these as separate fire areas and have separate calculations or if they are required to be calculated together.

Thank you in advance!

Is the exterior wall rated? If it's rated, I think it is pretty clear that you separate them. If it is not rated, then I could easily see some one interpreting that you need to include them in your calculation area and it would not be hard to justify that requirement either.
