I am trying to find as much information about calcium carbonate which forms around the inner surface of the down-hole tubes in oil wells. i hav chosen limestone because there is more information available about limestone in books and internet. but i need to have more information, such as stress strain graphs of limestone (in compression).

Try area universities with Geology departments. This is a complicated issue. Rock strength is a function of moisture content, external pressure, temperature, and a few other things.
This data is well documented by sources like highway departments. The use of the data is a different issue.

If you just want some general strengths try this:

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Try searching for Rock Mechanics or mining engineering. The university that I went to had departments for mining, geology, and petroleum engineering. It also had a laboratory for rock mechanics. Thus I would try all these search words along with elastic modulus of limestone.
