Where can I find weld properties for Stainless Steel (304L)

Very simple question, for some...

I am welding to a stainless steel pipe (304L), and I am looking to find the weld properties for 308L. Any idea where to look for this information? I need the ultimate strength of the material or the proper electrode to be used.

AWS D1.6 applies to Stainless Steel Welding and AWS 5.4 applies to Stainless Steel electrodes. If you do a google search you may find a previous version of these codes available on line for no cost.

Look at SFA 5.4 it contains all of the information you need for E308L, if you intend to use the SMAW process. If you intend to use the GTAW process, this would be SFA 5.9.
