where specific materials are used in?

hello, im new here and to engineering society. I have trouble remembering where the different material valves(SS,CS,FS,etc.) are used in like GI is used in water and SS is used in food grade oil. can anyone please explain or is there a list that I can find

Dear saadnavi:
SS is the short name for stainless steel ,and CS is the short name of Carbon steel.
These materials are widely used in the valve body.
