Hi colleagues:

I am not a plaxis user, neither I have experience with the use of finite element methods (FEM) in geotechnical engineering, although I am a geotechnical consultant. However, I am very interested in getting into it. Could someone refer me how to start, which book, course or something to start with. If self learning or distance learning available would be the best.

Also, since I have been in some conferences the last few years, I have been exposed to plaxis literature, which seems to dominate the FEM in geotechnical markets. For those of you that are looking for the Plaxis software, here is where to get it from:
