I'm looking to grip a cylindrical part that is teflon coated. The goal is to keep it from rotating during assembly. I cannot mar the teflon coating so I am planning on gripping it with either round or v blocks coated in rubber or with rubber adhered to the surface.

Any advise as to which rubber would hold the best?

Thanks!

In my completely UN-scientific experiments here using several different kinds of rubber (simply pulling them across Teflon tape), EPDM rubber seems to "hold" the best.

Of course, anyone with more scientific info is welcome to refute (or support) that.

Hope that helps.
