I will start to topology optimization of laminar composite. Which software can be used and what are the pros and cons?

Personally I recommend Abaqus with built-in Tosca module for topology optimization. It’s probably the best solution when nonlinearities are involved. Another powerful code for this kind of analyses is Altair OptiStruct.
