Error message says: "Mixing steps with time and mode number domains while creating an XYData object is prohibited" when I try to extract displacement at a node for the concrete foundation im looking at.

This is the step im trying to extract the displacement from:

Before this step I do a frequency analysis where I extract 500 modes/eigenvalues.

I am doing the almost similar simulation, first thing is from your picture above, if you look at little bit above where the red square, you will see active steps/frame , if you click it, then you can deselect Modal analysis, after that you could be able to plot displacement vs frequency graphic, second thing is , in the second picture, I presume you changed Number of point from 20 to 5 in mode shape, you would get a better result if you use 20 point (Number of point ) I believe.

It seems that there are at least 5 steps in this analysis. Since they are of different types, it might be best to deactivate (using Active Steps/Frames option) the ones that you currently don’t need for postprocessing. This will also make viewing field output easier and you won’t be getting "The selected Primary Variable is not available in the current frame…" messages when switching frames.
