Why do I have individual WCS's in my assembly? Can they be hidden?

Hi im new to this forum, have been using it for quite a while for reference though.

Im very new to NX however I have created an assembly however I cannot hide the multiple WCS's or axis that are with each individual part.

Does anyone know how to turn them off or hide them as I need it looking good in the design studio.

Depeding on how NX was set up, you may have a default reference set for each comonent in your assembly file named Model. Switch your assembly to use the Model reference set of your components instead of entire part.

Thanks for the reply, I have found that I can adjust reference set when in the assembly process. Is there a quick way to remove these now that the assembly is almost complete?

Right click on assembly part and click "replace reference set".

Technically what you're seeing are NOT WCS's, but rather Datum CSYS's from each component. I would bet that you're creating your assembly with the Component Reference Set set to 'Entire Part'. Go to the Assembly Navigator and check the column labeled 'Reference Set' and see what it says. If this is the case, that you've been using 'Entire Part' instead of 'Model', just go to the graphics screen, set your selection filter to Component, perform a 'Select All', place your cursor over any of the highlighted components, press MB3, select 'Replace Reference Set', select 'Model' and you should be good to go.
