Can someone explain why these prices seem to go higher and higher every year? My rep doug gudorf said I should contact Siemens and I about ready too. I work at a small shop and the prices are rediculous.

All customers were sent a letter last year explaining Siemens PLM's current and future maintenance policies for NX. If you feel that you are being asked to pay more than what was indicated in that letter, then YES, PLEASE contact Siemens PLM ASAP.

That being said, the schedule which is currently being used to determine maintenance changes was written only after a lengthy review of what other software vendors are charging as maintenance for similar software packages and our published prices are in-line with these competitive numbers. But again, if you feel that your situation is unique or your billings are out-of-line with what you were told to expect, then as I said before, feel free to follow-up with Siemens PLM Software directly.

However, you are advised that public forums, such as Eng-Tips, are NOT an appropriate arena for discussing policy issues relating to a specific customer, particularly when it comes to pricing and maintenance policies.

Jack,
We are all stuck deciding whether maintenance is worth it. With some software, we don't pay the annual fee and then decide to either repurchase in as many years as it amortizes or make the leap to another brand. FWIW, we maintain NX.
I feel your pain,

Jack,
You might want to take a close look at your invoice for accuracy such as a tax error which I have *cough* seen before. If have any errors, your VAR and Siemens can resolve the issue.
