Why NACE required for SS 316L Material ?

kindly clarify Why NACE required for SS 316L Material ? if required can you share any guidelines

By "NACE" you mean NACE MR0175. It is required because 316L is NOT immune to cracking in H2S containing environments, however, it has to be designated as required by the end user of the equipment.
