Does any one know why SA-182 F317L isn't listed in B16.5 1998 Table 1A (List of material specifications)?

I am guessing that I could use the Pressure/Temperature ratings for Material Group 2.3, which includes 316L and 304L.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dave

PS: the vessel design conditions are 75 psi @ 750 deg F

Hey folks. I put proposal 03-00083 in to ASME subcommittee N (Valves) to get the materials A182 F317, A182 F317L, and A351 CG3M added to B16.5, B16.34, and B16.47.

I have been informed that F317 will be added to both B16.5 and B16.34 in the next publication. The other materials have been added to the subcommittee's agenda, and will probably take a little bit longer to get in there.

My company got a little tired of having to jump through hoops to use the 317 grades of stainless steel...

If you have any questions about the issue, I can probably give you some further information.
